Become the next Adjunct Professor of the Month!
The CCAFF is proud to launch the Adjunct Professor of the Month program. A new initiative to recognize the exceptional dedication, creativity, and impact of our adjunct faculty. Each month, we’ll spotlight one adjunct who exemplifies excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s inspiring students through innovative teaching, contributing to research or creative work, engaging with the community, or simply bringing passion and personality to their role, this recognition celebrates the many ways adjuncts make a difference every day.
Adjuncts are encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague who stands out for their commitment and contributions. Nominations will be reviewed based on a variety of factors including teaching excellence, student engagement, community involvement, professional growth, and even fun facts or hobbies that make each nominee unique. Help us shine a light on the incredible talent and heart within our adjunct faculty community — submit your nomination today!

The state of California has finished their May Revise of the budget and the funding for the health insurance benefit remains. We are currently in the process of renegotiating our yearly memorandum of understanding that provides the benefit to adjuncts who carry a 40% load. Citrus College is going to extend it another year from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026. We just need to meet again one more time on June 18th after the Board of Trustees meeting on the 17th to finalize details.
Our current contract also expires on June 30, 2026 and we will form a Negotiations Committee to look the contract over and advise the negotiating team. The committee will start in the Fall of 2025 and you need to be a member of the union to sit on the committee.
